Could you please introduce your company first?

Kojima: We are doing both the wholesale and retail of used luxury watches.
We started our first online business on Yahoo!Auction 10 years ago and then we started to use Rakuten and eBay.

In what kind of products do you company specialize?

Kojima: We specialize in selling used luxury watches in the condition we purchase.

So, what is the advantage of selling in the condition of purchase.

Kojima: Some of other retailers will do some overhaul and make it look like brand new one, but they will also increase the price. We just sell watches in the original condition.
And in that case we could sell more in a higher turnover rate because of the lower price.

It is important to maintain a sufficient inventory to keep the high turnover rate.

The high turnover rate is surely an advantage.
Can you tell us about how you got to know WORLD SWITCH?

Kojima: We have been using a different inventory management system and from them we knew that there is a inventory system which was specially designed for used product retailers.

So that system was WORLD SWITCH?

Kojima: Yes, at that time, we wanted to know very much what kind of system it was.

What made you decide to use WORLD SWITCH?

Kojima: Because the previous system didn’t support cross-boarder malls.
It’s very important to increase inventory to maintain a high turnover rate, which makes the synchronization of inventory between malls more needful.

Have you expanded you selling overseas after using WORLD SWITCH?

Kojima: Yes, and the support for eBay is a key point.
WORLD SWITCH provides us customized functions for any kind of situations.

WORLD SWITCH has lowered the language barrier.

What kind of difficulties did you have before using WORLD SWITCH?

Kojima: The biggest problem was inventory synchronization.
Of course we thought about integrating eBay into our system,
but the systems we checked could not solve that problem.

Other systems are very difficult to use?

Kojima: Yes, at last we had to sell different products to local malls and eBay, which was not synchronized to our inventory system.

What change did you have after using WORLD SWITCH?

Kojima: We were able to sell the same product on both local malls and eBay.
The product can be listed on Yahoo!Auction, Rakuten and more malls at the same time.
Of course that led to an increase of sale.

What’s your thought about the inventory synchronization?

Kojima: It just solved the problem for us and that’s exactly what I was looking for long time ago.
It has a built in dictionary funciton which helps us to understand English in real time.

We did have a very careful discussion on whether to use WORLD SWITCH.

Was it difficult to decide whether use it or not?

Kojima: Which functions are needed and which functions we do not want was really a very difficult question.
How to make it possible to synchronize all malls was really a big problem for us at that time.

Kojima: Because the workflow will change after the integration, so I had to learn how to use it.

Which function is the best in your opinion?

Kojima: I think it’s the batch processing with CSV. We use this function to do warehousing, price change etc.
The batch watchlist edit for Yahoo!Auction is good too.

How do the other staffs think after using our system?

Kojima: There are many, such as: very easy to use, the update speed is fast, and it’s very easy to export the product data,
and various customization function, list generation etc.

Customization according to company’s style is more important than just the convinience.
